KIPP NYC The Robin Hood Heroes Awards is given annually to a few special New
Yorkers who have overcome insurmountable obstacles and shown us the
resiliency of the human spirit. Laura Reyes is a 2009 Robin Hood Hero
from KIPP. She attended KIPP Academy in the Bronx as a student and is now a teacher there.

As a parent of 2 Kippsters, I have to say that I am very happy with the education they've received at KIPP. As much as they grumble about the long school days, Sat. school and summer sessions, it's all worth it in the end. They're being prepared to succeed and succeed they will. Go KIPP!

KIPP has been a Blessing to me. I loved their family atmosphere, wherein, you or your child can contact the teachers for questions or concerns. My eldest son, my not be where he is today, had it not been for their patience and understanding, as well as the insight to see the potential in him.

I am very pleased with the education that is received and the three hours of work. It keeps them busy and off the street. Keep the children's minds busy and prepares them to achieve, then succeed.
