Hello Patricia,
Good question. You are correct, our patterns are currently NOT sold in Jo-Ann's. However, if you go to our site and click on "Store Locator" you can search for stores in your area (with store fronts) that carry our patterns-- these are listed by city and state. If you can't find a shop close to you, you ...can also search for online stores that carry our patterns. If any of these options don't work for you, you can always contact us to order a current pattern. We have a toll free number 1.888.kwik.sew (594-5739) or you can reach us at 612.521.7651.
Thanks and let us know if you need anything else!
Ellen

Patricia No more Kwik Sew patterns at Jo-Ann Fabric stores? My only other option is Hancock Fabric stores and they are so far away from me. I know I can order out of print patterns from the website but, am I also able to purchase current ones?

KWIK SEW Patterns Just had to share this version of pattern 3685 (crib comforter, skirt, pad &c.) from the Robert Kaufman booth at the recent International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas. The fabric's designer is a modern mom-to-be who created this design because she couldn’t find fabric that she wanted!

Good question! My spouse likes Japanese ribbon embroidery and beaded boxes; maybe a similar craft--like tsutsumi (gift wrapping)--would fit. Perhaps I could combine furoshiki (cloth wrapping) with pattern #3031. . .

Judy Ludwin Bowser There was a message that stated Kwik sew pattern was for children and old people. I don't agree with that I have used Kwik Sew patterns for a long time. Thay are the best for the fit and the directions are easy to follow. The commercial patterns never fit and some directions are incomplete.Kwik Sew has been in business a long time and I hope they continue. Some one think they have a great selection of patterns

I've heard the same comment and I disagree also. I feel like most things I make with Kwik Sew look like RTW and I rarely have a major wadder. I think the trick is for keeping up with the trends is in the fabric choices. I love Kwik Sew and their awesome directions and fit, I hope they keep going. I'd rather have one great Kwik Sew pattern that I paid $10.00-12.00 over 10 big 4 pattern on sale for $1.00 that don't work and waste more time, money and mental stress!

my 6 year old wants to learn to sew...she has made pillow slips and bags but now would like a basic smock she can wear as an over dress with her jeans. She wants to sew woven fabrics and would like to learn how to use a sewing pattern so would love to hear your suggestions. I would prefer it is could fasten over the ...shoulder as I think this might make for a more successful first attempt if she doesn't have to do button holes or zips. (We have a snap press)Read More

How about Girls' tunics or dresses like pattern 3542 (tunic & dress) or 3673 (esp. the View B dress)? Not sure if these are exactly what you're looking for, but these designs are without any buttons/buttonholes or zippers.

For current patterns, 3291 is for med. wovens + firmer knit fabrics. Pattern 2819 (tops + skirts) use knits as well. Also, 3476 tunics are for stretch knits.

Hi Kerstin! Just wanted to tell you that Kwik Sew patterns are working out just great in my sewing studio. I teach children and adults and currently have 28 little girls using these patterns. Their designs will be featured in my 2nd annual style show this coming May. The girls are only 8-13 years old --- which shou...ld show everyone how simple the patterns are and how easy the instructions are to understand! Love it and will continue making Kwik Sew the focus of Just My Style Studio!Read More

Hi Marie,
It looks great. I am interested in what fabric you used? Has it a velvety finish?

Hi Barbara, I used fleece from fabric.com When I was looking at the snowflake fabric they suggested the cotton candy blue to go with it. So I tried it! Thanks for your comment!

Betty Dotzenrod i am looking for a fabric used in skating/gymnastic leos that is a nude base used to applique on. I've heard it's called "soofle" or something like that - anyone know about that?
