Kalamazoo is once again host to the Big League Softball World Series. The 2009 series is being held August 6-12 at Vanderberg Park. Ten teams are competing for the title of 2009 Big League World Champions.

My daughter, Robyn Colin, was the catcher on the team that represented Southwest last year and was hosted by Ken, Debbie, Kyle and Casey Sunden. My husband and I were fortunate enough to go and experience it with her. The Sunden's are a wonderful family and we truly missed being with them this year but I was able to co...mmunicate with Debbie through facebook. Also, the hospitality you showed our girls and us was outstanding. I even remember during one of our games, the girls were beginning to cramp up and the gracious lady working the concession stand gave our team pickle juice. It was the greatest experience of our lives. I just wanted to say "THANK YOU" to everyone who volunteers their time and opens their homes to the special young ladies from around the world and makes playing softball a wonderful experience to be remembered all of their lives.
