Pam Hausner Attended my first Marketing Roundtable yesterday. It was like sitting in the middle of friendly brilliance. Ideas were flying around the room so quickly you couldn't avoid being hit by some of them...which is a good thing, of course.

A great Products & Services Council meeting this evening. We discussed the benefits and challenges of Facebook, Linked In and other social networking sites. We also discussed our challenge in keeping content updated and fresh (in short, it takes a village). Would love thoughts from the group on 1) whether you find t...his page and these posts valuable; 2) what type of content you want to see; and 3) your preferred social networking media. The meeting was interesting for me on a number of levels. The association of women I meet through CX is inspiring. The vision of CX creates a compelling challenge at any time in history; we face it now with economic and cultural shifts.

One of the things we didn't discuss was the use of SMS to get out pertinent messages, reminders, etc. ... Read MoreRecognizing the need for content and social media is the first step, but even with a combination of SMS, FB, and possibly Twitter, it's important to keep our communications genuine, applicable, and consistently focused on CX goals. The more I ponder this, the more it comes back to content. What content is CX delivering that is compelling enough to rise above all the noise we're already getting in our real and virtual lives?
