Gotta Be KCWE We did have some issues with our network programming last night. We're pretty sure we got it resolved today. Believe me we don't like it when we have technical problems either. In fact we hate it. But let's keep it polite folks. No need to curse.
Thanks Kansas City for tuning into the new 90210. It was one of our best Tuesday nights ever!
Gotta Be KCWE
Ah yes, the WWE question. Chad (in the post below) asks why WWE is leaving. Well, it was not our station's decision. The programming decisions that occur between 3 pm and 5 pm and 7 pm and 9 pm are pretty much out of KCWE's hands. As long as we have a contract with the CW we pretty much cede that right to them.
As far as why is concerned; I guess The CW network and The WWE couldn't come up with a mutually agreeable deal that fit into each others’ long-term goals. KCWE has enjoyed having "Smackdown" on our air for the last ten years ago or so as it was a great show and had a terrific and very consistent fan base.
The good news is the move creates an opportunity to showcase "Everybody Hates Chris," and "The Game," on Friday night and it also gives us the opportunity to roll out a whole new night on Sundays. Stay tuned.
Gotta Be KCWE Smallville returns with fresh episodes Thursday September 18th at 7pm central followed by all new Supernatural at 8.
Gotta Be KCWE Beauty and The Geek? We'll see. It's not on this fall but it could come back in the Spring.
Gotta Be KCWE One Tree Hill Returns Monday September 1st. It has kind of got lost in the hoopla of Gossip Girl and 90210 but One Tree Hill returns Monday night at 8 central.
Gotta Be KCWE We were at the airshow passing out frisbees, fans, sunscreen and stuff. Over a thousand people signed up to win an HDTV from KMBC, KCWE and Sony.

It's a busy weekend ahead here at KCWE. We'll be at the Kansas City Aviation Expo downtown both days giving out stuff and signing people up to win a sweet new HDTV.
Also we're taking part in the Councilman Terry Riley's BAck to School rally at Swope Park this Saturday.
