Kansas City Rescue Mission 2009 comes to a close tonight: many challenges, many victories in Christ. Thank you for your loving support for the services, outreach, and ministries of KCRM...we couldn't have provided hope to the poor, hurting, and homeless in our community without your blessings. It's not too late to make a year-end donation to KC...RM. Simply go to the Donate Now link on our website or call 816 421 7643 and ask for Gil, Paul, or Julie. Happy New Year!

Kansas City Rescue Mission KCRM's RN, Liz Preston is set to begin "10 in '10" -- her goal is to help 10 homeless men quit smoking completely in 2010. Smoking cessation classes, accountability, nic patches and LOTS OF GUM. We'll get a webpage up on kcrm.org soon, so you can follow her progress and cheer her on.

Kansas City Rescue Mission

Kansas City Rescue Mission We invite you to join us at KCRM as we observe 60 years of providing Freedom from the Past and Hope for the Future as Kansas City's answer to homelessness.

*This will mark 25 years to the day when Rev. Joe Colaizzi became our Executive Director, relying on the Lord to obediently shape and grow this ministry and outreach... to what is is today.

Come in time for a brief program at 1:45, the stay to mingle and celebrate at a reception with Joe, Marilyn, KCRM board members, staff, and mission alumni. Tours will be available throughout the afternoon.

Kansas City Rescue Mission ...not long after some C-COR members helped put a new roof on Meet The Need, it burnt to the ground. To help MTN minister to rural poor and homeless in the Excelsior Springs area, our urban ministry came alongside with canned goods, toiletries and other items to help them through Christmas.

Kansas City Rescue Mission DYK--right before Christmas Break, the students of Swinney Dual-Language Elementary School collected 12 boxes of canned goods plus $90 to help KCRM serve the needs of the poor and homeless? What an inspiration and great blessing!

A donor just called to say she'd read the article and wanted to donate socks, too! Thanks, Lee Kavanaugh, for writing this story and telling others of the need.
