Pittsburg’s Crestwood Country Club and the Kansas Junior Golf Association are teaming to provide juniors a casual day of golf on May 3. Crestwood Head Professional Todd Casey will be joined by new KJGA Southeast Section Chairman Matt Ida, KGA Junior Golf Manager Tyler Cummins, KGA Director of Rules & Competitions Casey Old and other KGA staff for the event.

“This is to expose kids to what the KJGA has to offer, promote our events, and get kids involved with golf -- something that will last them a lifetime,” says Cummins, a former Kansas State University player.

The day will begin with lunch at 1 p.m. and a clinic featuring a discussion of basic golf rules and a range demo. At 2 p.m., juniors will have a chance to play the Crestwood course.

The cost is just $10 per person and is open to boys and girls of all ages. Entrants must register by contacting Crestwood CC at (620) 231-6530.
