Kantorei Kantorei opens its 2009-2010 concert season with a collection of inspired choral works written within the last 100 years. Featured in the concert is popular American composer Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst. Written when the composer was just 22 years old, Cloudburst is a stunning work that, at its culmination, emulates the... sounds of a massive thunderstorm. The concert will also include the Colorado premier of two of Whitacre's latest works, including Sleep My Child, as well as selections from composers René Clausen, Frank Martin, and Henk Badings.
