Kara Tonight Kara begins a drop-in group exclusively for students of Gunn and Paly who are experiencing grief issues realted to or exacerbated by the recent student deaths at the train crossing. I hope we have many, many kids taking advantage of this opportunity. So important that they find a safe place ...to talk and/or listen to one another. I'm so proud of all that Kara is doing for our community.

Kara Hooray for great Kara walkrs, sponsors and volunteers. We had abour 120 walkers enjoying an absolutely gorgeous day. Day of event donations ranged from $5 to $500 and in addition to dozens of individual walkers there were several energetic teams. Still accepting At Your own Pace pledges and on-line donations through the end of the fiscal year - which is this Wednesday. Help us beat our goal.

"I learned it was ok to share my secrets"~quote from anon child.. Keeping grief inside as a "secret" can be isolating and painful to bear alone- especially for a child. I feel gratitude for Kara and Camp Erin for allowing children and others the space to connect and share feelings around death and loss that oftentimes ...people and society discourage us from sharing. Thank you Kara..I'm happy to be a part of this important work.Read More
