Karen Dvorak Photography

Award winning photographer and artist Karen Dvorak, a native Californian, developed her interest in photography during high school and continued pursuing her passion in visual art throughout her college years. However, it wasn’t until her brother, artist Phillip Dvorak, introduced her to the techniques of hand-tinted photography that Karen’s hobby became an art form.

Karen’s style has brought her international recognition and accolades in her ability to capture the essence and timelessness of a cherished moment in her original, one-of-a-kind works of art. Karen’s photographs glow with color, charm and detail uncommon to the medium.

Although Karen's black and white photography a long with her hand- tinted photographic art has been the the focal point of her recognition and many of the awards she has achieved worldwide.

Blending inspiration with natural talent, Karen has earned broad recognition for her work. Her images have appeared on hundreds of gift and stationery products as well as checks, calendars, puzzles, handbags, greeting cards and glass wear, brochures and adds. Karen's work is in markets, gift shops and specialty boutiques all over the world. Karen's photography has allowed her to travel to Hawaii and several other destinations shooting for travel brochures and poster adds for different companies. Her own personal touches and attention to detail in setting and mood lend a narrative quality to her images that transcends time and evokes a feeling of timelessness and familiarity. Her imagery reflects the values of love, loyalty, family and friendship.

Karen’s talent and expertise has drawn the attention of high-profile celebrities such as Priscilla Presley and her daughter Lisa Marie Presley who have entrusted their family portraiture to Karen’s artistic ability and superb rendering of their family legacy.

While Karen has been grateful for the opportunity to cover big events and famous names, capturing the essence of small-town life is where her heart lies.
