Join us on Saturday, October 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Stude Park for a tree planting. THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED FROM OCT. 24 TO OCT. 31!!!! Fall is finally here and now is the perfect time to plant. In partnership with Trees for Houston, if this is your first time to come out, no problem! Bring gloves if you have them, wat...er and lots of energy. We will have lots of supplies on site though, so no equipment necessary if you don't have it, and no experience necessary. We'll walk you through the process. Please join us for this great cause. Keep Heights Green Photos from our June 18 Summer Fundraiser, held at the beautiful Indian Summer Lodge in the Historic Heights. The event brought in an about $6,200 for the organization and will allow us to reach our goal of planting 100 trees in the Heights area this year.

I was saddened to wake this morning to the news that longtime Heights resident Huey Long, a member of the legendary group the Ink Spots, died at the ripe young age of 105 on Wednesday.
