Mark your calendars for our next ecumentical worship event on November 15th. “Pizza & Praise” is a once a month alternative worship experience perfect for ecumenical gatherings, especially youth groups looking for relevant and HIP music experiences! This month we are hosting a youth focused event (hardcore music)...so ...bring your youth groups with you or contact Pastor Brice is you would like more information about this awesome program!
Format: 6-6:45pm – concert by guest worship band
6:45-7:15pm – pizza delivered and offered to guests
7:15-8:00pm – worship experience to include music, prayers, testimonies, & interactive activities and dialogue on spiritual themes
Location: Journey Church Ministries is currently presenting this worship experience at Oak Creek UCC in Kettering, Ohio - www.oakcreekucc.net for directions.
Fall 2008 dates: 3rd Saturday of the month (Nov 15, Dec 20)

4th Annual Dog Wash and Blessing of the Animals

The Animal Outreach Club of Centerville High School and Oak Creek United Church of Christ are ho...lding the 4th Annual Dog Wash and Blessing of the Animals. All proceeds go to SICSA (The Society for the Improvement of the Condition of Stray Animals). There will be food for sale (proceeds to SICSA) along with crafts, pet-oriented businesses, artists, face painting, and live music. Many of the vendors are also donating their proceeds to SICSA. Stop by to get any animal blessed, a dog washed, or simply to enjoy music and crafts on a Sunday afternoon.
The activity runs from noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday June 8th and you can call the church office about the event OR participating as a vendor. There are no vendor fees.
