Anil Murty

Anil Murty Extremely useful... apart from all the information I get from there, it also motivates me to get out more often. Thanks very much!
I have a hike log as well.. but, it is no where as cool as yours http://anilsoutdoorzy.blogspot.com/

Cami Darney

Cami Darney Love your page! I just started getting back into hiking and found your page after looking up numerous other trail websites and forest service sites and your page outdoes them all! I will just start going to it to find a new adventure every time! Thank you!

Kevin's Hiking Page

Kevin's Hiking Page New hiking site feature: every single hike (259 and counting) now has a link to a Google map/directions page. And I improved the direction pages, too. http://kevingong.com/Hiking

Justine

Jenny Main

Jenny Main your photos took my breath away! Especially since I just returned from a trip to the south pacific. It was amazing to see some of the exact same spots I visited with such an untouched flawless perfection! Truly incredible!

Melissa Brown

Melissa Brown Hey Kevin! We communicated a few years back about Weaver Lake/ Jenny Lake trails & I happend upon your site again today and saw the link here to your FB page. Glad to see you are still hitting those trails!! I'm going to tackle Half Dome for the first time this summer and I couldn't be more excited about it. I lost 60 lbs in 2007/2008 so that I could do more of the hiking/photography that I love so much. I'm stoked to take a much slimmer self up the trails this summer. Take care!!!

Bill Davis

Bill Davis Beautifully done site, Kevin. Now that I have two small boys, I can't do all the hiking I used to do, but thanks to your site, I've found some places to introduce them to this wonderful activity.

Kevin's Hiking Page

Kevin's Hiking Page I know someone who's setting up a canoe trip at Bair Island and has some extra spots. I won't be going, but if you're interested, let me know and I'll hook you up with the organizer. Note that Bair Island is not normally accessible to the public.

WHAT: A trip that combines a canoe paddle with habitat restoration
on Bair Island

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008; 11 am to 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Bair Island, Redwood City

COST: $35 per person--covers canoes, naturalist/staff

WHO: Anyone 10 years of age and up

DEADLINE: October 14, 2008

This trip combines the best of both worlds—canoeing and restoration! Paddle out to Middle Bair Island to restore this former salt pond, a site off-limits to the public and only accessible by canoe. We will improve habitat by planting natives species like creeping wild rye and tufted hairgrass. Be part of a restoration project that is revitalizing critical San Francisco Bay wetlands. And don't forget to bring your own lunch to enjoy out on the water.

Madhubanti

Madhubanti Your website has been a wonderful resource since I moved to California! It's been my go-to place for looking up hikes in and around the bay area. Love being able to find hikes by rating! And your pictures and descriptions are great. Ever consider putting these together in a book?

Judit Rayegani

Judit Rayegani My friends from Hungary, my son and myself from Canada did many of your hikes. (Alta Peak, Half Dome, Zion, Bryce...) The photoes are great, gave as ideas, the describtions are accurate and practical, very helpfull. Great job and thanks a lot!

Eric Eslinger

Eric Eslinger Wow, I was a secret stalker of Kevin Gong's hiking pages the whole time I lived in California. We ended up doing a lot of the same hikes, because of the great pictures and all that. How cool.

Sathish Jothikumar

Sathish Jothikumar THe site is a lovely reference for many Sierra Hikes.
Good job maintaining it through the years

Kevin's Hiking Page

Kevin's Hiking Page I've put together a page with links to some videos I just put up on YouTube:

http://kevingong.com/Hiking/Videos.html

Eventually I'll integrate the videos into the site, but for now you can get to them from the above page.

Kevin's Hiking Page

Kevin's Hiking Page I've integrated overview maps of Northwest and Southwest hikes into the web site:

http://kevingong.com/Hiking/NorthwestHikes.html
http://kevingong.com/Hiking/SouthwestHikes.html

As I have time, I'll create maps for other areas.
