Hull events Radio 5 Live will be in Hull City Centre next week for 3 days of broadcasting and family fun! Octoberfest will see Queen Victoria Square invaded the interactive Igloo's, where all the family can get involved in doing some broadcasting of your own! • Surface car parks and George Street Multi storey car park - Please see the information boards on site for opening times and charging information.
Please note that "ON -STREET" pay & display parking is from 8.30am - 6.00pm (maximum stay 2hrs). Free after 6.00pm
Park and Ride
A park and ride service will run from Priory Park and Walton Street - The last buses from the city centre are 700 Walton Street, Carr lane at 21:10 and 701 Priory Park, Carr Lane at 21:15. Buses will run at 15 min frequencies after 18:00 on the Thursday.
Late Night shopping
The switch on date is the first night of Christmas late night shopping. The large stores and shopping centres will trade until 9pm from the switch on date and every Thursday until 17th December 2009.

"96.9 Viking FM’s Paul Foster & Rosie Madison from the Paul Foster Breakfast Show and ...Magic 1161’s Darren Lethem will be hosting the event from Humber Quays with audience participation in games with give away prizes. For those who are unable to go down to watch the display or who want to view from another vantage point, they can listen to 96.9 Viking FM’s Sam Heywood@ Drive show, who will be bringing the firework display live on 96.9 Viking FM so bring your radio and tune in. In addition 96.9 Viking FM and Magic 1161‘s street team will be giving away goodies at a base around the Marina."
Please be aware that this event is WEATHER PERMITTING. Suggested viewing areas around Hull Marina and the waterfront areas at Humber Quays, Humber Basin, Victoria Pier and Nelson Street. Public are advised to check the website or ring the call centre 300300 if the weather is inclement on the day.
