Right on! Although I do approve of vetoing the bill that would have required college health centers to bill students' insurance, a bill based on bad information that would have hurt universities, students and their parents and only benefitted insurance billing services. But then, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Thank you for sponsoring HB 978 in the Senate and winning its passage. Because of your work (and your able staffer Stacy Pearson), it is now against Texas law to discriminate against people on the job because they have cancer, diabetes, epilepsy and other disabling conditions. Thanks!

I just read the speech against the nomination of Dr. Mcleroy. Extremely well-spoken!!! My in-laws have been involved in the battle of science vs. creationism in a 2K person town in WI. I've been reading with dismay how this culture war has played out in TX. Congratulations!
