In July 2007, the members of Cavo had an epiphany. They were opening for hard-rock band Staind at a resort in Lake of the Ozarks, MO, and decided to use their moment in front of the large crowd to play some of their new material live for the very first time. ...

The Veer Union was formed in late 2004 by vocalist Crispin and guitarist Eric. Originally from Port Alberni, BC, the two longtime friends surprisingly found themselves living as neighbors: "we knew each other previously because we had played in bands together. We were both living out of our rehearsal studios in downtow...n East Vancouver," recalls Crispin.

After nearly two years of endless touring arcross the continent, the band signed a record deal with Universal/Motown Records out of New York City. "Against The Grain", the bands' debut album with producer Greg Archilla (Collective Soul, Matchbox 20, Buckcherry) and Brian Howes(Hinder, Daughtry, Skillet, Puddle of Mudd) was released earlier this year.

Brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson soaked up the music of their father, Jim Dickinson, and absorbed the North Mississippi Blues legacy while playing and shaking it down at the juke joints with their blues ancestors. Luther (guitar and vocals) and Cody (drums and vocals) joined up with bassist Chris Chew to form the cor...e of their own band, The North Mississippi Allstars. Through the filter of generations of Mississippi Blues men, the Allstars pioneered their own blues-infused rock and roll. The band released Hernando in early 2008, which represented a return to the blues-rock roots the band started with more than a decade ago. It was also the first release on the trio’s own label, Songs of the South Records. The band recently finished their retrospective record (set for release on January 20, 2009) entitled ‘Do It Like We Used To Do’. The 2 CD/1 DVD package features two discs of music that chronologically highlight the band’s live performances over their first twelve years together, and also includes a full-length documentary DVD on the history of the band. The documentary captures rare live footage, interviews with the guys, and tells the story of a classic American band.

On his breakout solo debut, Deadringer, Rjd2 sent listeners on a musical foray into instrumentalism, feasting on styles both old and new, and in the process creating a sound that’s emerging as one of the most interesting and exciting new voices in instrumental music. In a genre filled with ambient spacemen and droning ...techno fromage, Rjd2 brought a sense of song structure and vitality that was sorely missing, harkening back to a time when instrumental groups like Booker T. and the MGs got radio play (no joke). And the accolades rolled in. From industry luminaries like Chris Blackwell, to members of Radiohead and The Strokes, to ?uestlove of The Roots (who nominated Dead Ringer for the prestigious Short List awards in 2003), to DJ Shadow, Rj soon became a favorite of those in-the-know. Dead Ringer was an incredible success globally, appearing on many a year-end list, including Spin’s Top 40 Albums of 2002. In ’03, he followed up the success of his debut with The Horror, an EP of B-sides that played closer to an entirely new album than a collection of leftovers, and cemented Rjd2 as one of music’s most talked about new artists. James-though it wouldn't be a million, at least it'd be a can of peaches for free....now that earworm is going to tunnel my brain! At least I like the Pres. o' USA, or I might go mad.....I'm interested to see who found them, the actual peaches, that is. Cool idea.

Brett, citing AC would be like hauling in Bob Dylan for loitering, don't ya think? Shouldn't ever happen, but....
