Krause For Iowa's Future I attended John Desmond's memorial service in Cedar Falls today. John was on my team when I ran for mayor of Waterloo in 2001. John was a retired United Way director for the Cedar Valley area, and a solid progressive activist. He was an Air Force veteran, and got his start as a staffer for a California congressman b...efore going on to work for Robert F. Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale. Wonderful fellow!

Krause For Iowa's Future Tomorrow (Wednesday) I am on "The Liberal Edge with Bruce Stone" on Mac's World Live from 6 to 7. Bruce is back on after a hiatus when the podcasting company split into two entities about a month or so ago. The other padcast company is "Des Moines Live." Polk County Democratic activist Max Knauer is on that station.

        You're a great, good guy, Bob, and, of course, I'm disappointed. I will probably vote for Roxanne, but can't support her as I would have you. My cause requires a person without personal affiliation with controlling interest groups and wi...th the courage to do the right thing even if detrimental to him or her personally. Roxanne doesn't cut it for nor does all her big money.

    Krause For Iowa's Future We were on Max Knauer's Chautauqua radio show tonite. It is a podcast, and as soon as the link comes in, we will post it. Interesting show about the upcoming Senate race, and also features the manager of Blazing Saddles to talk about the Gay Pride weekend in Des Moines on Satuday and Sunday over in East Village, Des Moines., near the Capitol.

    Krause For Iowa's Future Thanks to all our wonderful supporters. We can be proud that ran a fair race based on the issues. Unfortunately the money ran the game. We can move ahead with a clear conscious and know that in the future, it will all work for good.

        Krause For Iowa's Future Nice crowd at the Peace and Justice parade. I estimate about 300 or so people -- mostly from the United Methodist Church conference, but also from others from around the state. Timely -- seven US soldiers were killed in Afghanistan today. Those numbers will likely go up this summer as we get into the Kandahar offensive.
