I asked hom today during a fire drill when I had a chance to see him. Unfortunately, our program doesn't keep transcripts! But he will ask the students if they can remember. I also saw Savannah and asked her to send any questions she could remember to you.l

Kristin Groulx Take a peek at the Tenth Muse Books new bookstore (http://www.thetenthmusebooks.com/bookstore.html). The first half of the mis-adventures of Alyson Bell book series is now available, as is Flightless Goose, a children's book by Eric D. Goodman.

"The idea of her mother being her sister as well and all seven sisters having the same mother but different fathers is too convoluted for a young adult book." ... I smile at this. This is part of the metaphysical aspect of the book series, which is further explained in book three as Alyson actually visits the land of the Elders and meets with ... See MoreElluna ("the mother figure"... AKA Goddess energy). To be more accurate, the sisters each have a heavenly or divine mother and father, and earthly incarnates of mother and father who raise them during their "stay" on the planet Earth. Have I given too much away? ;)

Keep in mind also that today's generation of teens are much smarter and more developed than previous generations. Many who identify as crystal or indigo children will understand the multi-dimensionality aspect of my books a lot easier than those who are not open to it.

Hremm Nevar is such an abhorrent abomination that only someone born out of a lustful act such as incest would be "created" that way... as opposed to an act of love. Hremm Nevar's "parents" are revealed in book three. Their physical descriptions are described in detail, however the incestuous act is not. As said previously in my FAQs... there are no sexual acts in the books.

The stripping scene was essential to the character of Sadie and how she is willing to do anything to win the affections of Harding, including shallow behavior.... See More

The brothel madame and parlor scenes are actually filled with humour and reminiscent of a bar fight in a western movie. It was not a profession of choice, but by circumstance during the era, which took place several hundred years ago. Alyson learns that in the era she now lives in, her world is filled with choices that once were unavailable to women, including getting an education and a career of her choice.

While the scenes may be intense, I do feel they are appropriate for ages 15-18, of which the book series is intended for.

The first book in any series is always the most exciting to read. This was and is still my favourite. It received four tombstones (out of five) at Bitten By Books (http://www.bittenbybooks.com)

Thanks Biljana :) I find the story to be unforgettable also :) I like to create books with texture... reading should involve the senses. I smile when people tell me a particular scene gave them goosebumps, cold sweats or their heart skipped beats... I love writing and keeping with the passion of it, although sometimes difficult to find time. ... See MoreOne of my favourite authors was V.C. Andrews. I still remember reading "Flowers in the Attic" and how trapped I felt following in the footsteps of the children, the evil stepmother (and mother) and the incest of the brother and sister. It was intense!

There really needs to be two sections to the genre of Young Adult, as some books do fall better in the category for younger tweens and some books are meant specifically for older teens. Ever read Judy Blume? There was quite a difference between "Freckle Juice" and "Forever" ;)

I think since you've read the books yourself (as an adult and parent) it might be okay to read them to your pre-teen or tween, as you are able to edit out anything too advanced and thus the story will just sound as a grand adventure and ghost story.

Kristin Groulx is really excited with the musings of book four ;) At first I thought, this storyline is just too crazy... it's like sci-fi/fantasy/adventure all rolled into one... but then I thought that there need to be more books like this one. Adventures aren't always straight and narrow down one path... any good mis-adventurer would know that ;)
