Kung Fu Sushi Chefs The main editing of "Birthday Girl", which was the test shoot for "Kung Fu Sushi Chefs", is essentially finished. The only thing it's missing is music and credits. Mark True, our awesome composer, is working on the music, and I'm doing the credits today. I can't wait to show off the final product to all the cast, crew, and fans.
Kung Fu Sushi Chefs Late afternoon yesterday was fight practice. We worked on choreography for the "Elway's office scene". It's a big and complex fight scene, involving 3 good guys and 8 bad guys, and so we started by looking at the big picture first. Now that the main outline of the fight is figured out, we'll dig down into the details... of each individual fight within that.
Kung Fu Sushi Chefs Early afternoon yesterday, we did a table read of the latest draft of the script. It was the first opportunity for some of the cast to read together, which was nice. The main goal was to help me refine the script and tune it to the particular actors, and it was a huge success from that perspective.
Kung Fu Sushi Chefs I spent yesterday afternoon working with Erica, our talented editor, on "Birthday Girl." It's got plenty of flaws, as you'd expect from a test shoot, but it's quite a bit better than I expected. I can't wait to show it off to the cast and crew, but not until it's ready. And then we'll have a few public screenings around town.
Kung Fu Sushi Chefs We had our first indoor fight practice today for "Kung Fu Sushi Chefs". It figures that as soon as we get permission to use someone's dojo, the weather would turn warm. But it'll be very handy later in the year when the snow and darkness close in. Jason, Erika, Rachel, and I worked out the choreography for the first... fight scene, which I'm excited about. One fight down, three to go.

Kung Fu Sushi Chefs Hey, I see we're up to 68 fans. Woot! That's awesome. It's good to know that more people than just my mom are looking forward to this movie. :-) Could someone else please post a comment here, just so I can be sure it's working right? If I have the settings right, anyone should be able to comment on the Wall.
Kung Fu Sushi Chefs Courtney and I just finished some location scouting in Broomfield, and found 13 possibilities. There is a bounty of vacant warehouse space here right now. Woot!
