Lamma Animal Welfare Centre (LAWC) is a registered charity, run by a group of committed volunteers with an aim to improve conditions for all living things on this lovely island and beyond, with a particular focus on homeless animals.

LAWC - Lamma Animal Welfare Centre
Caring of feral cats is also a part of LAWC's work. When a feral cat on Lamma is hurt or sick, we will try our best to get him/her to a vet. If needed, they will stay at our isolation cat room for a while as they are nursed back to health.
Here are the ones that are / have been with us.

LAWC - Lamma Animal Welfare Centre This beautiful tri-colour cat was left at our door in a cat box. No info, not a word. We have no clue as to how old she is and where she's from. The first few days, she refused to eat. We tried everything and soon she began to eat a little, but she was very nervous. For the first month, she would attack us wheneve...r we are near her. Now she has calmed down a bit. She is a beauty and needs a special home after the abandonment she did not understand at all. Please consider giving this beauty a warm, loving and permanent home.

LAWC - Lamma Animal Welfare Centre Hak-bak mao escaped from her home when her owner brought a dog home. She lingered around LAWC and have come into our care. However, she preferred to stay outdoors. For the past year, she has moved indoors again due to health reasons. In November 2009, she finally settled happily in a new home.
