Sad news from the Washington area: Ben Ali, 82, founder of Washington’s famous Ben’s Chili Bowl passed October 8, 2009.  Reports state that Ali passed peacefully amidst recurring health issues.  Ali’s death comes on the heels of a cruise with his wife Virginia, and on brink of the 51st wedding anniversary.
