LDStorymakers Writers Conference 2010 We've received many interesting questions as our writers conference has grown in attendance and recognition. Let me clarify this, while the LDS Storymakers Writers Conference is put on by LDS authors across the board, we have many professionals who come from both the national and regional markets. In addition, while th...ere might be 1 or 2 classes revolving around the gospel, 99.9% of the classes are specifically centered around writing, publishing and marketing your work. We do not serve alcohol, coffee or allow smoking at the conferences, that is the only difference. It is a clean, fun atmosphere where writers in all phases of the industry, gather together to network, learn and form lifelong friendships and associations.

LDStorymakers Writers Conference 2010 James Dashner, author of the best-selling "Maze Runner" said: "I've been going to the Storymaker's Conference since the very first one, held in a small local theater with 40 people. Since then, I've watched it grow to hundreds of people held in a nice Marriott hotel. There's a reason it has grown: It's one of the best ...conferences available. I absolutely love attending, and it's one of the highlights of my year. I'll never stop going!"

LDStorymakers Writers Conference 2010
"I have been to many writer's conferences during my ten years as
Acquisitions Editor for Deseret Book Company, and I can say without
hesitation that the LDStorymaker's Conference is one of the best I've
ever attended. I was impressed by so many things about the Conference:
the classes were exceptional, the presenters were ...stellar, the speakers
were inspirational, the attendees were enthusiastic. I left the
Conference thinking to myself, "Here
are the writers who are devoted to their craft, who are willing to work
hard and be persistent, who understand the business of writing and of
publishing. Here are the writers who are going to revolutionize the LDS
writing world." I was so happy to have met so many great people
who are involved in such a thriving, active writer's community. I look
forward to reading the work that will come as a direct result of the
Conference. It truly was a privilege to attend the 2007 LDStorymakers
Writers Conference." ~ Lisa Mangum, Acquisitions Editor, Deseret Book Company, 2007
