We would absolutely love to have you on our team!

The Chicago Marathon will open for registration in the beginning of February, but in the mean time could you email your contact information and that you are interested in becoming a member of Team LUNGevity to teamlungevity@lungevity.org? That way we can let you know the details about our program and let you know as soon as you can sign up!

Please let your mom know that we will keep her (and you) in our thoughts!

I agree. I think it would be so important and valuable for him to speak out about lung cancer and would help draw attention to the need for more people to care about this disease. Perhaps it is just a bit too early and he is still dealing with the emotions surrounding what he has been through.

Blanche I am a 3rd generation lung cancer survivor. My mother, grandmother, 2 aunts and uncle all passed from LC. One other aunt, 71, had recent lobectomy. I am 44 y/o female non-smoker, stage 3a, thoracotomy 3 weeks ago to remove lower right lobe, waiting to start chemo/radiation. Live in the suburbs of Boston and I canno...t find ANY SUPPORT GROUPS in the area. I posted an ad on CL to start my own, if anyone is interested. In a dark place right now. Hoping to find resources out there so that I can put my "activist boots" on when I am more recovered from the surgeries (bronchoscopy, mediastinoscopy, thoracotomy and implantation of chemo-port). Any suggestions welcome.

Maybe a more general cancer support group would be helpful for now, and then when you are feeling better, yoiu can spearhead the effort to get more started in your town. Best of luck, the lung cancer cause needs more people like you!
