But that’s exactly what happened Tuesday when UC San Diego, the City of San Diego, and the San Diego Padres held a press conference to announce the second annual San Diego Science Festival.

UC San Diego Four UCSD students played a key role in helping the San Diego region receive $154 million in Clean Renewable Energy Bonds to finance renewable energy projects at 192 public facilities. UC San Diego will receive $15 million under the federally-backed program to support 15 renewable energy projects. Watch the video.
UC San Diego The gloomy financial climate only helped bolster spirits at the Chancellor's Challenge 5K Run on Friday, reminding the runners and donors that their contributions couldn't come at a more crucial time for the university.
