A hand-picked selection of film and video, featuring
Professor Nicky Hamlyn, filmmaker and writer, has shown films at venues around the world. Recent screenings include New York and Toronto Film Festivals, 2007. Professor of Film at University College for the Creative Arts, Maidstone.
Ian Helliwell, award-winning Super 8 filmmaker, and maker of electronic instruments, has produced over 40 films since the 1990s. His work has been screened at film festivals internationally and is distributed by LUX. Ian has served on two international film juries: Norwegian Short Film Festival 2005 and Stuggart Film Winter 2006. We will be screening two of Ian’s super 8 films.

Performance by
Professor Mervyn Heard, Magic Lantern Expert, has shown work at Hayward Gallery, Tate Britain, National Portrait Gallery and Oxford Literature Festival. His work has been described as “part historical, part hysterical”. Mervyn will present a pictureshow experience from before the movies, with comical stories, pictorial curiosities and magical transformations.
