- On June 4th, Yorkshire & Humber went to the polls in the European election. Labour's team of candidates were: Linda McAvan MEP, Richard Corbett MEP, Emma Hoddinott, David Bowe, Melanie Onn and Mahroof Hussain.
Unfortunately the election result meant that our region lost Richard Corbett as an MEP, and by a narrow margin elected BNP MEP Andrew Brons.
But what happened after the votes were counted? As the new European Parliament settles down to work, we're maintaining this page with news about Linda's on-going work for our region, as well as the new Tory group, the new BNP MEPs and Labour's other opponents. There'll be pictures and video, and the chance for you to have your say and debate with other supporters.
