S.T.A.R. - Supported Typing & Autism Resources Sometimes, the best piece of Assistive Technology is a dry erase wipeboard! Almost anything can be scaffolded into a multiple choice question where a student with a motor disturbance can point to the correct answer.

S.T.A.R. - Supported Typing & Autism Resources Crossing the midline when hitting the drums! Once Peggy got him going, he was able to accomplish harder tasks, including reaching upwards. You also do not hear the Metronome in the background that was set to his own personal rhythm.

I know Peggy does have people cross over so I am sure that was a reason specific to what she needed to accomplish for Nick. Keep crossing over.. : )

S.T.A.R. - Supported Typing & Autism Resources At STAR, we presume competence in all individuals and approach all literacy opportunities with that in mind. We believe in inclusive education and strive not to segregate students with disabilities into separate educational settings. And by using supports such as communicative prompts, emotional supports and physical... resistance, a student with autism can learn to access Assistive Technology in a meaningful way.
