Dede Dunn I miss Lake Jackson, my true home! I hope the people there are well and happy and continue to enjoy one of the great places in the world!

Trish Serratelli Lived here from 75-90 Loved it. Go Bucs.

Justin Scott Liverd here early 90's. Any old friends?

April would there happen to be any homeschoolers on here?

Anne I lived in Lake Jackson from '78-'88. We moved there when I was one so it was the only home I knew as a kid. Went to Bess Brannon Elementary. Hope to get back and visit someday!

Bryan Stockton I lived in LJ from 66 - 78. Great place to grow up. My favorite memories include fishing in Oyster Creek, the football team winning state in 74 and a tv reporter being thrown in jail for getting too close to a hijacked airplane ... Jessica Savitch. I also remember Dewey Compton on the radio. We also had lots ...of snakes. You would run over copperheads mowing the hard and find coral snake between the bricks of your house.

Catherine Lived on Redwood from the time I was 4 until I left in 1969. CY7-6263 - it was a great town to grow up in but wouldn't want to live there now that I am older!! Oh the days of the Brazosport Exporters going to State in football and baseball, riding the bus to Freeport to get to school - good times..............

Linda Janie Marcum Denmark I like living here too, been here almost ten years and what we need in addition to Wendy's of course, in my opinion is to have Emergency services/ trauma services at the hospital instead of being helicoptered to Houston . When you are in an emergecy situation every minute counts. A local t.v station would be nice too.

Wes Though I was born in the Dow Community Hospital in '54 we moved away and didn't come back until '64. I did not know Barbara Bartlett was that "young" by the way. My family came down in '38 and my Grandmother helped Alden Dow name all those streets. They liked to drink then too. You don't realize how great of a plac...e that town is to grow up in until you leave it. My only complaint is they built houses in my woods around the Lake. Lots of great people that are community oriented and truly caring people. I guess it made me what I am today. Whatever that is?

Robert Youens AP Beutel, Lake Jackkson Jr High, Brazoswood class of 72. My favorite teacher, Mrs. Best. Riding bikes, playing in the parkways, going to the Lake Theater, throwing a paper route for the Brazosport Facts, going the the Dairy Bar, going to the beach, getting hair cuts from Frenchy, going to Lake Hardware, swimming, fi...shing & driving flat bottom boats in Oyster Creek, going to dances at the Rec. Center, Summer Movies at Jasmine Hall, setting off fireworks at Thumb Park, getting to go to the "New Highschool" Brazoswood. Wonderful memories of a great home town.

Brenda I was in Kindergarten when I remember my first snow - 1960. K was only half a day and I walked to and from school cause I lived so close and everyone knew everyone!!! My grandparents were one of the first families to move into LJ after the war.

Debbie Reed Walker I can lay claim to the FIRST red light in town (blinking) It was at the end of my block on Azalea St......so many wrecks before they put that light in...
