Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce The winter weather is hitting the lakes region. The lakes are starting to get some ice forming on them. Yesterday morning there were plumes of fog coming off Winnipesaukee in Meredith due to the variance between the water temp and the air temp of 3 degrees. Plus we have had beautiful blue skies these past few days w...ithout any clouds that keeps the temps low at night. I woke up to -4 degrees this morning.

Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce On this past Sunday we were lucky enough to once again be part of the Santa Fund Train in Laconia. We filled 3 trains with approximately 750 people, through their generous donations of unwrapped toys or cash to the Santa Fund to help children of this community have a happy holiday. The Chamber gave out hot chocolate ...and treats thanks to BJ's and our Chamber Ambassadors.

Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Beautiful blue skies today in the Lakes Region. Had the Lake Fog this morning on my way to work both in Ossipee and Laconia. Meredith was clear, but the mist was rising off the lake as it got to the low 20's last night.
Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Lake Winnipeasukee was quiet this morning as I drove in. Very peaceful with beautiful reflections. The Mount Washington is in it's winter location in Center Harbor and getting ready for an engine replacement. Meredith was quiet, although I did see a sailboat at the docks yesterday. This is a great time of year to e...njoy the serenity and beauty of the Lakes Region.
