Welcome to Shades ETC's Facebook. I've been handmaking things as long as I can remember. Now I'm selling what I make on my website and on http://shadesetc.ecrater.com/. I love making lampshades. I know, I know that is an unusual craft; however, it is very satisfying to see a room lit up with my creations. I really... like making the teapot lamps and the victorian lampshades the best but I make novelty lamps too. What's a novelty lamp? It's lamps created around a theme like lighthouses, shoes, kittens, and...you get the idea. I started making gift boxes too. They are made with binder board and lucious fabrics and trims. The suncatchers were a natural spin off of the victorian lampshades as they use sugar beading. Sugar beads are tiny glass beads that look like sugar.
