King's Own Royal Regiment Museum, Lancaster So busy yesterday, no update! Remembrance Day was spent with Sandylands School in Morecambe. The curator spoke to 400 children about WW1, visiting each class for at least 20 minutes. Fantastic way to spend Remembrance Day.
King's Own Royal Regiment Museum, Lancaster Helen, from the museum, visited London this weekend and saw the Poets Memorial in Westminster Abbey, one of those recorded is Private Isaac Rosenberg, number 22311 of the 11th and 1st Battalions of the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Killed in action on 1st April 1918 at the age of 27 years.

King's Own Royal Regiment Museum, Lancaster Mrs Joyce Clarke, of Thornton, will be attending the National Service of Thanksgiving for the WW1 Generation at Westminster Abbey on 11 Nov, having been selected by Lancashire's Lord Lieutenant in memory of her relative Cpl Thomas Bailey, of the 9th King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, killed in action on 19 Sep 1918 in Salonika.
