Update - this just in: The trains will be open all the time until Jan 3, as long as the Science Center is open. Those train guys may be untouchable, but they know their stuff! Ask one of them anything about model trains!

Ms. McDaniel, can you IMAGINE what the trains would be like if kids (of all ages!) were allowed to touch them? I was there with my 2-1/2 year old grandson yesterday, and he was absolutely enthralled. I don't consider it "too serious" when, as Zachary was leaving, he called out "Good-bye, Thomas the Train!" And one of the "too serious" exhibit workers replied with a loud "Whoo-Whoo".

Thank you to all the train hobbiests who donate their time and efforts on our behalf.
