On St. Francis Day, Sunday, October 4, beginning at 4 p.m., we will once again have “The Blessing of the Beasts.” We will gather around the altar in th courtyard and introduce our beloved pets to all who are assembled. We will then have a small service of thanksgiving commemorating the love and joy our pets bring in to... our lives. We will bless them and then retire to the Merrifield Room for a presentation by the people from Potter Park Zoo. They will be bringing some more exotic animals for us to pet, examine and ask questions about. We will conclude with some “animal” snacks.

Children of all ages, please bring your parents if possible, but your pets for sure to the blessing and celebration. Pets teach us about the unconditional love that is God and usually are a real part of the family.
