University of Wyoming- Center for Advising and Career Services Finals Week Tip #1: Make time for EXERCISE! Finals week is not the time to turn into a couch potato, even if the couch happens to be located in the library. If you enjoy a regular exercise routine, keep up with it. Exercise is a great stress-reliever and will help you sleep better at night. Oh, and exercising your thumbs on the X-Box doesn't count.

Ettiquette Tip of the Week:
When on a business trip, avoid alcohol on an airplane – drinking at high altitudes makes you more inebriated. It is said that one drink on an airplane, counts for two drinks on the ground. If they put one of those mobile staircases up to the airplane exit and you fall down it, taking out ...a senior citizen or a vacationing family with small children in the process, that will not be good imaging for your company. When traveling for business, you are representing your company and should, dress, speak and behave in a way that inspires confidence in your business and products.Read More

Oh my aching back! People who talk about health complaints without coming up for air are a real pain in the… well, you know. Also avoid taking medications in front of people in your place of business. In any medical emergency, suspend the rules. If nosy people ask personal questions or offer unsolicited advice abou...t your health, simply say, "There are some things that are personal that I will not discuss." You may add, "But thank you for your concern."Read More

University of Wyoming- Center for Advising and Career Services When enjoying soup, scoop away from you with the soup spoon. If you scoop toward you, you are more likely to splash on yourself. Sip out of the side of the spoon. Do not cram the whole thing in your mouth. Do not slouch over your food. Sit up straight and bring the soup up to you. http://www.cultureandmanners.com/

University of Wyoming- Center for Advising and Career Services Ettiquette Tip of the Week:
When can you begin eating after you have served yourself at a buffet? Technically, you can begin eating as soon as you take your seat. However, in a business setting, it is a good idea to wait until two or three other people join you, so you do not appear impatient or ravenous.
