benefit! With over 2 boxfuls of toys and $365 in donations, the event
was again a great success! Congrats to our winners: Anne and Chris
Smith, and Jay D'Haene and Mike Yudin, who decided to forgo the final
match and split the top two prizes! And thanks to... the Smiths, who
donated a share of their winnings back! All in all a great day and
again proves how wonderful our pool players are!Read More

Diamond Eight’s annual Toys for Tots Tournament is set for Saturday, November 21st. This 8-Ball “Scotch Doubles” tournament benefits the Albany Regional Toys for Tots program, as run by the local Marine Corps.

Diamond Eight Billiards From John Stock: Ryan continues to make great progress. I visited him last night and he was awake and talking. HIs short-term memory is a little fuzzy, but docs say this is to be expected, with all the meds, etc. More extensive heart testing will start this week to determine the cause and how to fix.

Thanks to the Wednesday night league players, who pulled together and did everything they could to help their fellow player, Ryan Dean, who experienced cardiac arrest on Wednesday night. Both the doctors and the EMS crew commended the league for acting quickly with CPR, that not only helped keep his blood and oxygen ci...rculating, but also enabled the medics to get his heart restarted quickly and get him breathing regularly on his own.
