Marsh Hollow: Your Hocking Hills Vacation Log Cabin Rockbridge State Nature Preserve WAS the only Hocking Hills major site Dave and I had never visited until last weekend. While we enjoyed the very hilly trail, save this hike for the spring when there are sure to be masses of wildflowers. No pets, please!

Brenda Rainey Weber Billy and I will not be able to visit Marsh Hollow on the 12th and 13th. This breaks our heart. We love Marsh Hollow. Billy will be performing a marriage ceremony for his grandson. We will try and reschedule although I know how very hard it will be to get in.

Marsh Hollow: Your Hocking Hills Vacation Log Cabin The Ash Cave Fire Tower is now open! The tower is located on the Ash Cave to Cedar Falls trail, but is also accessible from a parking lot at the corner of Route 374 and Chapel Ridge Rd. Built in 1934, the tower is 80 feet tall. Doesn't sound like much, but it's all uphill!

Marsh Hollow: Your Hocking Hills Vacation Log Cabin Dave and I hiked the Ash Cave to Cedar Falls trail yesterday evening, perfect day for a late afternoon/early evening hike. We saw exactly 2 people on the trail. The forest was absolutely lovely in the late day sun, and our tranquility was complete, except for those 2 people! By the way, this trail is 3 miles long so 6 in total to get back.
