As a future installment in its "Reels of Justice Film Series," the Douglas County Law Library will be screening "A Few Good Men" in the Lawrence Public Library Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

Starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, and Kevin Bacon, the film tells the story of a Navy lawyer (Cruis...e) who is trying his first case in court. He is defending two Marines who have been accused of murdering another Marine. As he prepares the case, he begins to feel that all is not right with the case and that the whole truth is not being told. He tries to get to the bottom of things and bring the truth to light. - Directed by Rob Reiner, the film was nominated for four Academy Awards in 1993.

Starring James Stewart, the film tells the story of an army lieutenant who is arrested for killing another man. H...e claims that he did the killing while temporarily insane after he discovered the man had beaten and raped his wife. As the lieutenant's defense council (Stewart) prepares the case, he discovers disturbing things about his client and his client's wife that the prosecutor could use to get a conviction. He must unravel the tangled facts in the case and find a way to defend his client.

Directed by Otto Preminger, the film was nominated for 7 Academy Awards in 1960.
