Diana Stratigos Garvey I was coordinator of a playground in Lake Ridge, Virginia called "Fantasy Playground- Land of Childrens Adventures." We just had a 20-year anniversary rededication ceremony! We built our playground Oct.25-29, 1989. It still looks great, and still has happy kids swarming all over it. Several people who worked on it 20... years ago came from out of town to be at the anniversary celebration, including me from Ohio, and another co-coordinator from Boston. That special bond created 20 years ago still hasn't been forgotten.
Becky Gnad Nowak I was co-coordinator of Park on the Plains. It's been a week since we completed the structure here in Scott City Ks. Doug and Lee told us before we got started that words wouldn't be able to express what happens in the week of build. They were so right. I drive by the park and stare in awe. I would recommend a Lea...thers park to any community. I think the structure was bonus---what we really built was a sense of community. So many great stories continue to unfold from that week.
Leathers & Associates In the spirit of Halloween....Has anyone seen the movie The Orphan? The playground featured in the film is a Leathers playground located in High Park, Toronto. They did make an adjustment to the structure for the film though - like adding that metal slide!
Jodi Yager Am a captain for the park in Scott City, KS... just got DONE!!! It is absolutely awesome and we did an amazing thing pulling this all off in the rain and cold! It's beautiful!
Andrew Jurena I'm glad to see that Leather & Associates are giving build sites for this week!! But is it possible to get a calender (a few months) of build dates ? As I'm sure it will help people who are looking for more "build" sites. I'm looking to do my 5th playground...but no-where to go...

Leathers & Associates Be a part of the community-built Adventure Playground. In celebration of the centennial of the Whittier School, we invite you to participate in the construction of a 100% disabled-inclusive park in Cache Valley to be built entirely by volunteers at the Whittier Community Center. The design of the playground comes from ...the imaginative ideas and suggestions of local school children.

Leathers & Associates This is the re-build of the original playground and was completed in spring 2009. The main materials are: structural plastic & composite plastic. The surfacing is poured in place rubber.

Tiff Rogers Holt I have seen two of these playgrounds go up in Alaska: Talkeetna and Girdwood...they are amazing...WE now live in Carbondale, Colorado and we have HORRIBLE playgrounds...I am not sure I have the energy to take charge, but I do think a Leathers playground would be absolutely suitable for our area...the Rocky Mtns. I will have to put a few buzzes in peoples ears!!!!
