About Me:
Lee may be a fresh face in politics, but he’s not new to Suffolk County. Raised in Shirley, Lee understands the importance of the issues facing our community. Growing up, Lee’s family instilled values of community service and patriotism...these values led Lee to join the United States Army, to serve, defend and protect our country.

These are the same values that guided Lee through his time in Iraq, and are guiding Lee today. The very same values he is teaching his twin daughters as they grow up in Shirley.

As a government prosecutor and a military magistrate, Lee stood up for what was right and effectively enforced the laws of our country. Our community can trust an experienced prosecutor and military veteran like Lee Zeldin to fight for us and our families in Washington DC.

Lee,
You are a breath of fresh air. Meeting you only confirmed what I had read about you. You are honest and truly care about the people of the district you will represent in the House of Representatives. You are a true American hero, and I will be proud to call you my Congressman!

Lee,

We have known each other practically forever. I support you all the way in this election. Your views are just what long Island needs to jump start the economy and standard of living on Long Island.

I really wish I wasn't in Albany right now, because I'd love to be helping out locally. This guy is a great candidate and if our party continues to go the direction of choosing younger, brighter, more exciting candidates, the party's future will be just as promising. I'm sending in my absentee. All you people on his friends list here better show up and vote!

This past weekend Mr. Zeldin spoke at the N.Y.S. Youth and Government conference. He is allumni of the program as former Lt. Gov. Many delegates loved what he had to say. His down to earth personality and confidence was very popular. We need a person like Mr. Zeldin fighting for Long Island in D.C.

Letter to the Editor to Newsday about Energy Policy

I am compelled to respond to your July 29th article, “Rep. Bishop promotes bill to aid with heating bills.” He is well aware that his flip flopping on this issue has no chance of passing soon. That ...

Bishop Makes Most Hypocritical Vote of Career Turns His Back On Troop and Vets Needs

Tonight, my opponent made the most hypocritical, un-American vote of his tenure in Congress. He claims to be someone who salutes, honors and thanks the troops, but not tonight. Tonight, our troops who ...

Mr. Bishop-Visit our Troops

Throughout this campaign, it has been highlighted that our Congressman is the textbook definition of a follower at a time when we’re in dire need of leaders. Upon further review, I’ve found that my ...

Making Things Better for our Community

One of the biggest reasons I have asked to serve is to make things better for our community. Oil prices have skyrocketed towards $120 a barrel. Since Democrats took over Congress the price of gas has increased ...

My name is Lee Zeldin and I grew up in Shirley. I have committed my life to public service and I am excited about continuing my service to our community in Congress. Last summer, I left the active duty Army and joined the Reserves.
The Republican candidate for New York's First Congressional District today released a Web-based commercial touting his fierce loyalty to the Eastern Long Island district and the independent-minded leadership demanded by the position.
To the Editor:
The front cover of this week's New Yorker was a tasteless attack on Barack and Michelle Obama. The content makes for a terribly misinformed decision. For the sake of promoting a clean election season I condemn the New Yorker for its judgment.
