We will meet at Momi Toby's Revolution Cafe and Art Bar, 528 Laguna Street, between Fell Street & Hayes Street, immediately after the concert.

Left Coast Chamber Ensemble Notes from the Flute Bay Area Website: "Left Coast's flutist, Stacey Pelinka, is favored by Bay Area audiences and critics alike for her fluid style, broad range of tonal colors, and intelligent, honest approach to the music she performs." http://www.flutebayarea.com

Left Coast Chamber Ensemble Yu-Hui Chang: "I also have a long history collaborating with the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble in San Francisco. All of these musicians are not only wonderful to work with, they seem to be able to read my mind and to present my music exactly as I intend it to be. I am very grateful for all the care and support they have shown to my music."

Left Coast Chamber Ensemble
From the East explores diverse works by 20th and 21st composers who have roots in Asia and Eastern Europe but work within conventions of Western Classical music. The composers, hailing from Russia, Hungary, China, Serbia, India and Iran, reflect their musical heritage subtly or overtly: sometimes folk melodies and rhyt...hms, ancient cultivated musical traditions or popular dance music of their various homelands are readily apparent; at other times only the unique voice of the composer, born of his particular circumstances, is in evidence. In both cases, the cultural intersections have yielded music of enormous vitality.
