  • Devon Coetzee entered the below competition & comments why sport is good for you... 'I swim and run for my school and I love it! Swimming is by far my favourite. There are a number of reasons why I swim. First of all, it is great to participate in a sport and work hard for my own and a common goal. The team becomes a “family” and you know you all have the same goals in mind. Sports is also where ...I make most of my friends. Some of my best friends are kids that I have played sports with. Sports is also a great outlet, because if you’re ever angry or upset, when you participate in a sporting event, your mind is completely taken off of it and you just focus for the two hours that you are taking part. And if you kick-ass, the girls dig you too'See More

Many of South Africa's Orphans are affected by or infected with HIV/Aids. The free camps accommodate orphans between the ages of 7 and 15 years old with the emphasis on recreational activities which include: racing through the obstacle course, hiking, soccer, foofi-sliding, swimming, indigenous games, kayaking, rafting, tubing and other fun activities and games. During the December/January holidays, 2 camps each hosting 60 children, took place in the Richmond area of KZN. Each child attending the camp received a Let’s Play soccer ball.

This is due to the park’s location, high level of safety and variety of facilities, catering for all age and skill levels.
Bionic BMX Club who partnered with the Cycle Park ...recently donated BMX bicycles to develop skill and talent, consistently and under appropriate guidance, so that sustainable development happens, all while ensuring that the element of fun is always maintained.
A BMX bicycle is the ideal entry for any child into the cycling world. With a single gear and an easy, relaxed riding position, a BMX bicycle teaches skills that will endure for years to come, whether they remain involved with BMX or move into another discipline of cycling.

The Village only had football as a sporting code so the main aim was to introduce other sporting codes and introduce the kids to the game of cricket. In addition this activity aims to encourage kids and the youth of the village to play sport and steer away from societies negative influences.
