The Lewes Public Library is partnering with the Food Bank of Delaware to serve as a collection point for the Holiday Food Drive 2008. A container is conveniently located near the circulation desk for donations of non-perishable food. The Food Bank of Delaware relies on the generosity of the community to help feed hungr...y people and the Lewes Library is pleased to participate in this food drive to provide food for those less fortunate this holiday season. Food donated through the Holiday Food Drive will be distributed to people in need through the Food Bank’s emergency food pantry and 350 partner charities. The most needed items include: canned meat & tuna, canned soups, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, canned beans, spaghetti, dry cereal (hot & cold), rice, mac & cheese. Thank you for supporting this very important cause.
