
Lexington Public Library The Friends Book Sale comes to an end this weekend at the old Dawahares on Alexandria Drive. 2-for-1 Day 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Bag Day ($2 for a bag you can fill with books) noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Lexington Public Library The annual exhibit by the Kentucky-Ecuador Partners this year features works by a notable Ecuadoran photographer. Rampon has traveled throughout Ecuador, visiting places such as the Galapagos Islands. The library exhibit features Ecuadorans practicing many of that country's traditional trades and crafts. The exhibit will run through Sunday, January 3.

Lexington Public Library On Thursday, November 12, the Lexington Public Library continues its Jazz: Live at the Library! series of monthly concerts at the Central Library theater, 140 East Main Street in downtown Lexington. Show No. 32 brings in the Jamey Aebersold Quartet. The renowned jazz educator and saxophonist from New Albany, Indiana, i...s joined by Cincinnati?s Phil DeGreg on piano, Louisville?s Tyrone Wheeler on Bass, and Lexington native and drummer Jonathan Higgins. The series is sponsored in part by LexArts, Jamey Aebersold Jazz, and the Jazz Arts Foundation . Showtime is 7 p.m., and admission is free.

On November 5th, the Young Professionals of the Lexington Public Library Foundation will be hosting their fall fundraiser at Busters Billiards & Backroom off of Manchester Street.
Guests will enjoy Barbecue from Bourbon N' Toulouse and at least one drink. There will be live music and door prizes including several pairs... of UK Basketball tickets.
Tickets are $10.00 per person and can be purchased at the door the night of the event. Thanks to a challenge grant, each $10 can be matched by the W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Foundation. All proceeds will go toward the renovation of the theater at the Central Library
