For those of you not familiar with Liam's music, here's a brief overview of his career to date-

Hailing from Manchester, Liam Frost is one of the regions most talented singer/songwriters. He made his live debut at the age of 15, performing at many of Manchester's most prestigious venues, including the Star & Garter's famous Akoustic Anarchy nights. After a few years singing in ‘shouty punk bands around Manchester’, Liam went solo, and after several years of writing and performing up and down the country with the likes of Ray Davies and Stephen Fretwell, he was signed to Lavolta records.

Over the years Liam has built up a devoted following, with famous fans including Mark Radcliffe, Stephen Fretwell and
Guy Garvey of the band Elbow, who described him as “the UK’s answer to Bright Eyes”.

Throughout 2005 and 2006, Liam, joined by his band 'The Slowdown Family', released their debut EP 'She Painted Pictures', 3 singles and their critically acclaimed debut album 'Show Me How The Spectres Dance'. They also embarked on a number of UK tours and played at the prestigious South By Southwest festival in the United States.

In Autumn 2007, Liam joined several other artists, writers, journalists and performers to take part in 'Cape Farewell', an expedition to the arctic to help raise awareness of climate change.

Liam is now going it alone, without the aid of the Slowdown Family, and recently returned from New York where he recorded his as yet untitled second album. The album is due in 2009. (read less)
