Hi everyone,
Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to you all for supporting us so far with Libelula. Don’t worry this isn’t the end! We just have a new name…evokateur!

Following on from the suc...cess of Libelula, which we started in 2006, we realised over the last year, that our initial ambient and trip-hop sound had morphed into a more crisp, electro and synth-based concept.
evokateur was born – something a little more brave, bold and sexy. The two driving components are still the same – the rhythmical, technical and filmic qualities of Hector’s composition and Sarah’s singer-songwriting, heart on the sleeve and jaw-dropping, beautiful vocals.
You will already know that we were working on our debut album. This is still the case but it will be released as ‘evokateur’. The album is coming along nicely. The first three demo songs are up on our new MySpace player so check them out here: www.myspace.com/evokateur
Gigs will continue in the New Year with as much make up, sexy outfits, groovy moves and photo shoots as before, so stay tuned!

An electronic pop collaboration between the obscure, cinematic soundscapes of a technical minded Mexican boy and the solid songwriting and diva-dolly vocals of an extremely sensitive, yet fiery English girl. Inspired by childish dreams, deep emotions, futuristic worlds and romantic encounters, the music is by turns lu...sh and beautiful, sinister and aggressive. Evokateur perform with lots of differently shaped keyboards and synth-drums creating a "humming pop buzz" with bold robotic layers intensified by Sarah's emotive vocals. Evokateur exists in a dark world of ashes but rises with a brave and beautiful proposal, like a mechanoid orchid, a flower living in a post apocalyptic era.
