Light Says Solo choose Wednesday night to bring some electrified, half-diminished-seventh indie-rock to one of my favourite Melbourne live music venues, The Old Bar, 74 Johnston St, Fitzroy. The bar is old and so are the songs... he he he. Why do I like it so much? Well it's kind of small, the sound is good and the vib...e is chill.

LSS will be joined on the evening by the fine dark-country, indie-noir duo The Orbweavers, after the very recent launch of their debut album Graphite & Diamonds (available from their web site or via iTunes — wow so down with technology). Speaking of hard-working Melbourne duos Cavanagh & Argus are playing as well. Now, I haven't heard Too Many Cars since another life-time ago, but one thing's for sure: they'll be masters of their instruments by now, if you know what I mean. Doors open 8:30PM and the cover charge is $6 — recession-buster!
