This July 4th will be our 6th annual Community Block Party held in the HUMC courtyard. Each year the attendance has increased and we are expecting an excellent turn-out again this year.
Because many in the community are single parent and low income families we feel it is important to offer this wholesome, fun activity a...t no charge. There is a free lunch offered to all. We will have games, a bounce house, water balloon toss, casting pool and a visit from Fire Station #5. You can also try your hand at fly tying for fun. We will also hold a raffle for the children.
In conjunction with Farmer's Insurance, HUMC will again be offering M.I.L.K (managing information on lost kids) Digital ID program. This was designed to provide parents and caregivers a convenient location to store a digital photo and identification information. The Digital ID is totally free as a community service of Farmer's Insurance. Should a child become lost or missing, the M.I.L.K. Digital ID can be printed or sent via email to proper authorities and forwarded to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Stop by the M.I.L.K. Digital ID booth and check out this great way to protect your children.
