Linda Lauren Ok, so I wake up from my nap with song in my head at 4:30pm EST and it was "If They Could See Me now from Sweet Charity as sung by Shirley Maclaine. I got up, the tune dancing in my head and turned on the TV. At that exact moment, Shirley Maclaine is on a channel called Retrosplex and she begins to sing...the song...in my head!

I had a reading this evening with Linda. As a writer, I am always looking for "spiritual" assistance in the direction of my writing and character development. My novels are about French vampires now living in NYC. Ironically, my main character, Christian Du Maure, buries himself in books and classical music, mostly ...piano music, especially when he is in a dark mood. Music is something that sustains him. During my reading, the classical piano piece, Claire De Lune by DeBussey, came through to Linda. It is a beautiful song and no surprise, Claire De Lune means "Moonlight" in French. It is also a song that happens to now be on the Twilight soundtrack. I took this a validation that I am on the right track in my writing: Vampires, Moonlight, Christian and piano music.
