Liquid Wrench OK, did you see where Brett Farve is having a "lubricant" injected into his injured ankle to help it heal. Can't recommend LW in this case, but what do you think?

John Lionti The inside twist lock on our front door is sticking...going to shoot some Dry Lube in the keyhole on the outside...that should loosen it up don't you think?

      • Liquid Wrench John, you're right. Dry Lube works great cleaning and lubricating inside a lock. Good luck.

      • Liquid Wrench Oscar, our Penetrating Oil is the best for those rusted nuts. Remember to let the oil sit for awhile before loosening. It'll make your job much easier.

John Lionti I have a question...
I'd like to hit all the door hinges and drawer slides in my house with dry lube, but I wondered what to use to clean off whatever is on there already. On my white closet doors, there is a blackish material to the sides of the hinges (some type of graphite residue?) that I'd like to clean up first.
    Wh...at do you recommend?

John: Probably metal and oil residue working out of the hinges. A bit of Liquid Wrench Lubricating oil on a clean rag should remove most of it. Sometimes it’s soaked into a painted surface and would need to be overpainted with a Kilz pri...mer and a bit of new paint on top.

For cleaning the slides, just spray on the Liquid Wrench Dry Lube. The isopropyl alcohol carrier will loosen the residue of the previous lube and let you wipe it free.

      • John Lionti Thanks for the information...I have a feeling you are right about the residue soaking into the painted surface, but I'll try the Lubrication Oil first and keep my fingers crossed.

Liquid Wrench Very interesting article from the Washington Post. Do you agree with the reporter. Let us hear from you..http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/07/16/AR2010071605805.html

Before there was control-alt-delete, there was WD-40, the liquid space-age remedy for machine-age problems. It was the Task Manager of last resort, the final hope for the mechanically inept dealing with a world that was always freezing up, rusting out and breaking down. Its oily goodness would fi...
