
Living with Wildlife This is a Tiger Snake - note the flattened upper body. Whilst Cobra like it is a trait of most Elapids (Brown Snakes,Red-Bellied Black Snakes etc) to make themselves look more intimidating. It is very much a defensive display.

I have photos of a python that was eaten alive by a live rat that was fed to it - it should be enough to put anyone off doing it.
